One of the days, we headed over to Coronado and hung out on the beach for a couple of hours. It was so nice and not busy at all! I think it was because school had already started and the water was pretty cold! That didn't stop Jaden though. It was so fun watching him enjoy the waves. Cory walked out into the water with him, while I played "photographer".
He loved having the waves push him onto the beach after he "kung-fu'd" them.
Bird.
Okay, I got a little bit bored, so decided to see what I could do with the "props" we brought to the beach...yeah, I'll stick to being a mom.
How could we go to San Diego and not go to Sea World? Jaden seemed to be in a magical place the whole time...he was enchanted. It was great.
Rides with Papa!
While Jaden was riding with Papa, Cory and I went and rode on the Manta. It's a crazy ride, but so much fun! It totally shoots off when it starts...here's the picture..
First sight of Shamu in the tank before the show!!
Soak Zone!!
I definitely didn't stay down there with them...Mom and I went up and sat REALLY high where there was no chance of getting soaked. But, someone asked if they could take a picture for us, and I felt bad saying no, so I let them. I'm happy they did, so I could be in a picture with the 3 most important boys in my life.
Free Willy!!!
Here comes the water!
They got DRENCHED!!
We rode on Jaden's first "big kid" ride, where you have to be above 42". Super exciting!! The first one was a the tube one, where you ride on a tube raft down some rapids. He loved it! It was mild enough but still exciting for his first ride.
There was a hands-on tidal pool too, wich was really cool, because in school we just learned all about tidal pools and what creates them and what creatures live in them.
Jaden has always wanted his face painted, but has never had the opportunity to have it done...SO when he saw this booth, we just HAD to let him do it. His face afterwards says it all: pure joy! Completely worth it.
Then we went over and saw the Sea Lion show! That was a hoot. Those are comical little mammals!
Shark Tank!
Lunch!
Another "big kid" ride for Jaden! This was a bit more intense.. There were times where he didn't know if he wanted to cry or laugh, so he just said the word "Weee" in the most monotone voice. It wasn't until the ride was done that he wanted to go back on it again and again.
Checking to see if he was emotionally okay after that big drop..he was! :)
Jaden had such a good day, and was absolutely pooped afterwards snuggling with his new free willy stuffed animal..
