Jaden and Jenna

I have to say that I have great kids!  I feel so blessed to have these two, fun, little balls of personality around me constantly...even though it can be really exhausting :). Here are just a few pictures that I have been taking over the past few weeks.

Jenna just loves her big brother Jaden.  He ALWAYS can get her to smile!

Field Trip to the Fire Station!

I was able to set up a field trip with some women in the Ward.  Those of us who homeschool or have kiddos still at home got together to take a little trip to the fire house here on base.  What a fun time we all had!  A lot more women came that I thought would and the kids had such a good time!  It turned out a lot better than I was expecting :).  A fireman dressed up in his fire clothes, they passed out booklets, hats, and pencils for the kids, we got to walk around the fire house and fire trucks, and we even got to climb inside of a real ambulance!  So much fun to see it in real life, instead of just on shows like Chicago Fire (one of Cory's and my favorites!).

After posing with the real fireman, Jaden decided he wanted to try on all of the gear, too.

On to the fire truck! They turned on the lights when we went into the garage, and it was really neat looking! They also opened all the doors and took the kids around to peak inside, and even climb up in it if they wanted to.

Jaden and his little friend Charlotte! She is so adorable and the sweetest little girl..I just love her!

Jaden had those firemen following him around and picking their brains about what every gadget and step and button does on the fire truck.  He wanted to know it ALL! They were so good and patient with all those kiddos walking around and climbing and talking.  What a great team.  My appreciation and respect has definitely increased for firemen and for all first repsonders.

I think we will be doing some more field trips before we move out of here.. this was really a lot of fun!

Snow Day!

The South got an unexpected snow storm, that brought Cameron, NC about 4 inches of snow!  What a fun surprise! We woke up and got snow clothes on and went and played in it for about an hour!  Okay, I didn't go out there, but Cory, Jaden, Max and even Jenna got to enjoy the snow :).

Dog Sledding!

This was Max's first encounter with snow, and we couldn't keep him out of it!  After spending all that time outside, he ran to the back door and started whining to go back out! He runs, buries his nose completely in the snow, and jumps and turns.  So fun to watch him!

Playing catch with a snowball!

Running after a ball!

We will be going out again, because Jaden just loved playing in the snow..we won't be getting this for another 3 1/2 years or so in Hawaii...so we are trying to enjoy it now!
