So, last night we had our Green Dinner! I grew up doing this every year for St. Patrick's Day, so I wanted to continue this with my family. I remember loving it! It seems like we would do SOMETHING for every holiday, and so I've been trying to be like my mom and do the same thing. Well, in the middle of cooking things for yesterday, I said to Cory, "WHY did my mom do this every year?? It's SO much work!" And then at dinner time and throughout the day, I could see how happy and excited Jaden was with the "magic" of the Leprechaun, and the fun of eating nearly everything green that day...this made it all worth it to me, and that's probably what kept my mom doing it all those years, too. So thank you, Mom, for all of your hard work and for loving us so much!! :)
Jaden woke up yesterday morning to find a little mess that the Leprechaun made in his room...Leprechauns are mischievous little creatures, in case you didn't know ;). They make messes, and WE are left to clean it! Jaden woke up and said "Mom, Mom! The Leprechaun made a mess in my room when I was sleeping!" He was smiling the whole time. And then before we went downstairs, he went into his bathroom and started laughing, because that little piece of trouble peed in Jaden's toilet (which was green!) and left little green footprints behind! Jaden flushed it before I could take a picture..
We went downstairs, and the messy little guy wrecked our living room...I mean it was trashed pretty good. Jaden's first reaction was a whisper to himself, "Oh man....". I forgot to get a picture of this, too. After we cleaned it up, we made breakfast...green pancakes!
And Jaden found a rainbow that Cory and I built for him with gold candies hidden in the clouds on one end of it..He had finding them.
So, while the boys were playing, I was in the kitchen getting stuff ready for dinner. It was definitely a great and memorable day! I love traditions! :)
Fruit Salad Rainbow!
Clover Rolls!
Green Butter, Green Fruit Dip, and Split Pea Soup!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
"May your pockets be HEAVY,
May you get all your WISHES.
May good LUCK pursue you,
With lots of Leprechaun KISSES!"

Walking Time!
So, one of our favorite things to do is going on walks. We try and find a new trail to walk every weekend. We just really enjoy being outside and burning off some energy. It gives Max some time to run around and Jaden some time to play "sword fight" with all of the trees and sticks he finds. That allows me and Cory some quality talking time. We really look forward to it on our Saturdays, or whatever day Cory has off at the time. Plus, everyone is pretty much pooped afterwards; so, naps and quiet time are utilized really well when we get home :).
I love railroad tracks..
I totally made Cory do this...he's pretty shy when it comes to pictures, but he's SO good about entertaining me when I ask him to do something. He told me not to put this on the blog, but....I HAD TO!!! :)
Loving outside!
Jaden saw me editing pictures, so I gave him the chance to edit one of his...so here it is! I asked him afterwards what he wanted me to name the file. He said "cool". Oh, I love this boy!

Catching Up!
It has been a while since we've updated this thing, so here's my attempt at showing pictures that were taken over the last few in months so that you all can see what we've been up to and what's been new!
First: Family Pictures! These were also taken around Christmas time...so that'll explain that last couple of pictures :)
Second: Texas Rodeo!! Okay, this was a BLAST!
Next: "I Love You" Dinner!
Well...the pizza was for lunch one day...with heart shaped pepperoni!
Here's the dinner...
Everything was heart shaped, if not red and white...those little potatoes were really good! I'll share the recipe with whoever wants it! :)...I'm thinking of doing little shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day.

Last: New Puppy! His name is Maximus (Max) and he is a full bred German Shepherd. And, boy, is he growing up fast! We've had him since the end of January.
