So, this year was a little different of a Christmas for me. I have to say it was a good different, though. On Christmas Eve I did the fondue thing, made deviled eggs, had crackers and cheese, and sparkling cider just like I did growing up. I opened one present, which was pajamas, and watched the Forgotten Carols (amazing!). I guess Jaden was excited because when I put him down, he slept for about an hour and then woke up and stayed up with me until 11. He wasn't gonna go to sleep no matter how hard I tried! He was wonderful company! Before we went to bed I stuffed our stockings and hung them up on "the chimney with care".
We woke up Christmas morning, and I was so excited! It was a lot of fun sharing this day with Jaden, even though he doesn't know what is going on. His smiles and laughter are contagious which made it a fun Christmas morning.
In the afternoon I went to the neighbors and had a delicious dinner! They were very nice to invite us over, and it was tons of fun: excellent food, yummy desserts, great company, and a lot of laughs. I also got calls, emails, texts, and Christmas cards from all of my family and friends. It really made Christmas this year special. I know now more than ever that Jaden and I are surrounded by people who love us, care for us, and support us...which is the greatest present in itself.
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and will have a wonderful New Year. Thank you for all that you have done and are doing for Jaden and I. It truly means the world to me. I love you!!
